Fall has come to Washington

Even though the region’s occasional weather spikes into the eighties have us a little thrown, the pumpkin spice invasion is enough to tip us off that it’s official: Fall has come to Washington. We may be waving goodbye to lazy Summer days and BBQs, but there’s no need to worry. Autumn in the Pacific Northwest brings its own joys. Here are just a few of them.

Get Spooky

Tis the season for elaborate haunted houses and Washington delivers! Find your courage with a bit of the good stuff and get out there. Explore Nightmare on Beaver Lake's mile-long trail of deep woods horrors. Or head over to Seattle for a ghastly good time at Georgetown Morgue where the dead come to life. If crowds aren’t your thing, stay in and Netflix-and-thrill with a good horror flick paired with a few pre-rolls, or grab some cannabis-infused Happy Apple Cider.

Find Out Who's Top Chef

Scares not your thing? Grab a group of friends and hold a cook-off. Loser does the dishes. Get creative and whip up the ultimate pairing of pizza + weed with this simple Flatbread Pizza recipe. Wow the crowd with this mouthwatering Smokin’ Mac’n Cheese. And fine, give into the Pumpkin Spice mania and top it all off with this Triple THC-Infused Pumpkin Spice Bread Pudding. We know you want to.

Have A Bonfire

Gather your friends for the ultimate smoke circle. What better way to celebrate Fall than to grab your favorite strain and enjoy it with the people you love in the great outdoors. You may not need to go foraging for sticks for this recipe, but what bonfire would be complete without a s’more? Check out this recipe for Weed Firecracker S’mores and enjoy them around the flames.

Enjoy Oktoberfest

Would your Fall feel incomplete without combining the season with Bavarian culture? Then you’re in luck. Leavenworth, Washington, a Bavarian-styled village in the Cascade mountains hosts its own take on Oktoberfest September 29th through October 14th. Beer not your thing? Pack up your edibles and experience the Fall foliage while driving through Wenatchee National Forest. Marvel at thousands of nutcrackers in the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum or take in some additional natural wonders including eagles and osprey at Waterfront Park on the Wenatchee River.
